Ventilate the bathroom and prepare the area
Open windows or turn on the bathroom exhaust fan to ensure airflow. Put on rubber gloves and eye protection. Inspect the glass for chips, cracks or unknown coatings. Check silicone seals and stone or grout edges adjacent to the glass.
