How to clean a user-serviceable split AC filter

Work from the floor with the unit stopped. If access needs climbing, tools or service-panel removal, arrange qualified service.

    Match the unit to its manual and stop the AC

    Find the model number and official manual. Continue only if it identifies a user-removable filter and its cleaning method. Stop the unit normally and wait for the fan. Do not touch isolators, wiring or service panels.

    Open only the documented cover and remove the filter

    Open only the documented front cover and note the filter orientation. Slide it out with light pressure while both feet stay on the floor. Stop for resistance, brittle clips, an attached cable or unsafe reach.
